Betty's Blessings

On April 9, 2015 Grandma Betty passed on. A couple of days earlier, my husband and I went to visit her to say our good byes. As soon as I walked into the room I started crying and the only words Grandma Betty said were "now is not the time to cry."
I was so confused...out of all the times to cry--surely that was the most appropriate time!
It was from that moment that my life had changed. I started to view death much differently; more of an experience as opposed to something to fear. If someone that I had looked up to, was not afraid to pass along then I had no right to fear it for her.
Grandma Betty opened my mind, eyes and soul up to an entire different way of living and I owe my path entirely to her and her incredible courage, love and strength that I have devoted my life to honour.
Grandma Betty spent her final days creating Meditation Handouts, a compilation of quotes and sayings to meditate on, that I am honoured to share with the world. Grandma Betty's teaching and blessing will live on through Betty's Blessings.
Please enjoy.

Adam Gazzeley of the University of California and colleagues created a video game called Neuroracer. Participants drove a car on a narrow, winding road while distracting signs were popping up. Older people were worse at the game than younger people, the team found. But after playing for 12 hours over a month, volunteers between 60 and 85 got so good at the game that they beat 20 year olds playing for the first time. Other mental functions also improved.

When the Buddha (500BC) sat to meditate, he resolved to sit until he was spiritually enlightened. He aspired to have a transformative change in consciousness and was determined to have it. We, too, can expect the pure light of truth-knowledge to emerge through the clouds of our thoughts. Sit in meditation until all resistance to sitting fades away. Expect revelations to come forth. Be ready for them! Truth Journal Dec2013-Jan2014 Ellen Grace O’Brien
Genuine crop circles are not perfectly round but slightly elliptical (a hoax, requiring a fixed central rope, cannot achieve this adequately). Their edges are crisply defined from the flattened crop as if drawn with a compass, and incised with surgical precision. Hoaxes, by comparison, bear a stylistic resemblance to tuffs of greasy, uncombed hair – and, of course, all their plants have been trampled, bruised and crushed.
Crop circles are sometimes accompanied by trilling sounds, since captured on tape and analyzed by NASA as being artificial in origin, and bearing a harmonic frequency of 5.2 kHz.
Mathematically, genuine crop circles encode obscure theorems based on Euclidian geometry. So far, the designs have yielded five new mathematical theorems. They are also invisibly encoded with sacred geometry – those harmonic ratios that govern the relationship between the orbits of planets in our solar system.

Ecopsychology, the study of humankind’s relationship with nature, reminds us that we are nature, that nature is not something separate from us.
